Mildred Saliwe Ntuli
Writer, Traveler, Blogger
Hey there! I’m Mildred Saliwe Ntuli , teacher by profession, storyteller by passion, and traveller by heart. I was born and raised in Chipinge, Zimbabwe, a place that taught me resilience, community, and the art of finding joy in simple things.
I hold a Degree in Religion Studies from the University of Zimbabwe and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Great Zimbabwe State University. Right now, life has me chasing dreams (and sunshine ☀) in Brazil, where I’m pursuing my Master’s in Ethnodiversity at Universidade Federal do Pará.
I’m a proud mama to a beautiful daughter and the only daughter in my family, which probably explains my mix of strength, sass, and soft heart. 💅🏾
Over the years, I’ve done a bit of everything, from maid and restaurant supervisor to teacher, lecturer, centre manager, and even Head of Department for Social Work and Community Development. Each step has built the woman I am today, grounded, grateful, and unafraid to start over when life says, “plot twist!”
I’ve also collected a few shiny certificates along the way, in Caregiving, Health and Financial Literacy for Girl Children (USAID), and Writing and Researching Political Inequalities in Africa (University of Derby, UK). Oh, and yes, I once did Christian modelling, because why not? 😄
Travel has become my love language, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana… some trips were for fun, others for work, and a few for survival (because let’s be real, life happens). But wherever I go, I carry home in my heart. ❤
This blog is my little corner of the world, where I share the laughs, the lessons, the messy moments, and everything in between. So, grab a cup of tea (or wine no judgment here 🍷), and let’s learn, laugh, and wander through life together.
